Bayonet Surf Zone Crawlers

Designed for military, scientific, and commercial work within the surf zone.

See Us at Oceanology International!

Built to handle pounding seas.

Revolutionizing Coastal Operations for Dredging and Defense Capabilities in Near Shore Environments.

Bayonet vehicles are autonomous underwater ground vehicles (AUGV) that are the "go to" solution when work needs to be done near shore. The AUGV’s low profile and high stability allow them to penetrate the surf zone with up to 6 feet of wave height and collect data independent of sea state and weather, providing more days on task. They are chosen by militaries, scientists, and companies around the world for their versatility.

Features of Bayonet AUGVs

Bayonet Autonomous Underwater Ground Vehicles (AUGV) are also known as Bayonet Surf Zone Crawlers. Operating from the sea floor to the dunes, Bayonet AUGVs travel through the harshest conditions where other systems cannot.

  • Available in 3 sizes

Bayonet AUGVs are available in 3 sizes: Bayonet 150 for calmer sea conditions when weight is a factor; Bayonet 250 for heavier seas and payloads; Bayonet 350 for the harshest conditions.

  • Works in depths up to 100 meters

Bayonet AUGVs are approved for work in depths up to 100 meters (as well as in heavy surf with up to 6 foot waves and on land).

  • Tool free assembly

In field (or underwater) assembly does not require any tools. Watch the demo to observe the assembly process.

  • Autonomy and navigation

Bayonet AUGVs can be fully autonomous, supervised, or controlled manually. Vehicles use Greensea IQ's highly accurate Inertial Navigation System (INS).

  • Supports thousands of sensors

Built on OPENSEA, Greensea IQ's open architecture robotics platform, thousands of sensors are already compatible with Bayonet. Payloads can include environmental, oceanographic, hydrographic, benthic, or industry-specific sensors.

  • Duration and range

Depending upon model, Bayonet AUGVs have a range of 4-8 nautical miles and hold a battery charge of 4-6 hours.
